Spike Ball

  • Explain the physical activity you participated in. I participated in spike ball today, we got put into teams and gave a place in side the rec with and thing you can throw the ball at it and it comes back to you, when you throw the ball at it the opposite team has to catch it and throw it back against the thing for us to catch and who ever drops the ball the opposite team gets the point.
  • What level of effort and engagement were you participating at during today’s physical activity? Why? (Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria) A- I give my self and achieve because in this game I came early to class and was ready to get own with the game and to be focused in the game its not that often you will see me come to school early and to be ready to learn and to be ready in the cloths.
  • What were three factors which influenced your participation? (Choose from the list below, and put a + or - beside the three factors to show whether it positively or negatively influenced your participation). Well being- My well being is really good because I came school to learn and to get on with the set task given to use by our teacher. Skill level- My skill level today was very good because playing this game with my team we won most of our games and this is a first for me to want to learn in side class and to enjoy our game. Environment- The environment in side the p.e class today was very well set out and the people i our group wanted to participate in our game cause it looked like a really cool game to learn.
  • Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) These factors affected me because today I had a really good day and had a really good learning experience in class I was really looking forward to lean a game like this again.
  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?We didn't really need to change anything in our peers all we need to change next time is not to be cocky towards the other teams and take the win as a win and move on.

Tyler - Ki_o_Rahi


  • Explain the physical activity you participated in.
I participated in Ki o Rahi today, In the game there is a post or a stump called Tupu if your in Taniwah you have to start in the ring with the ball and passed to the follow players in your team, when you have reached the outta ring of the Tupu you must throw the ball at the Tupu to get points. With the team Kioma you have to touch the Pou with the ball and to score you have to run in the middle towards the Tupu and score to get points.

(Grade yourself NA, A or M and refer to marking criteria)I showed (A) because I came school late and still participated in the activity. When I was told to get changed and to get on task I did it and joined the class in the activity.

Equipment- I came to school with the right equipment and I was late but when told to get chnaged and to join the class with the activity, I did it and didn't answer back. Challenge- It was a challenge for me to come to school early and to make it to my class on time, But in a hurry to get to class I really enjoyed it when I did make for the last 30 min and got to join in with the game. Fitness- In that game it was running non stop with the ball and not trying to get your tag ripped off you, Non stop running is good when your enjoying the game and really looking forward to getting points.

Explain HOW these factors affected your participation (with specific examples) I wanted to learn and wanted to get involved in the game and join class mates with the fun learning experience, Playing this game made me learn what team work is and showed how we need to use our team mates to help us get points.
  4. How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future? My peer and I need to work on getting our listening game on because having the ball we need to open our ears and need to have a look whos around us to share the ball and to get points.

  • How could you increase your (or your peers) participation in this activity in the future?
I can increase my peers participation by always pushing them forward to achieve and to become a better peer and better participation towards the class and towards the teacher. For the future he can become more physical in class and to come with gear to play with our class and achieve.

In primary we use to blog our work onto blogger and use to write on other people's post and give them feedback on work and how good/bad they did in their work.
How do you think blogging impacts on your learning?
Blogging impacts on your learning by going on to other people's blog post and getting ideas and facts about what our learning is about.
How do you feel about blogging? Why?
I feel blogging is a good way of experience and to learn many more things about blogger and to find new ways of learning.

What are the roles of the skeletal system?
To make the bones and joints in your body function and to be able to move. Also to protect your body from somethings and to support important organs such as lungs (Your ribs support both lungs in your body)
What are the types of bones?

*Flat
*Irregular
What is something interesting you have learnt about the bones?

  • The reason we want calcium for our bones, is because if we get low on stores, we take calcium from bones.
  • Bones continue to grow until about the age of 18.
